Ride Entry – 4th January 2009

Bike: Chameleon
Distance: 25 miles
Well that was a bit of a disappointment. Set out, nice and crisp if a bit dull. Got up to Rivy, lots of ice, not so many people, great! Went on my arse right in front of some walkers on a big sheet of it, trying to be clever really. Had a laugh about it. Carried on, met Tim, Gareth, Andy and Stu on the top road. Intended to head over Winter hill and then down to Simon’s road where I would then cut over to Roddlesworth and back through Withnell woods and off home through White Coppice. Sounds good eh?
Of course, this is my life so I got called out 5 minutes later (for a problem that has just turned out to be nothing to do with me I might add), shot home at warp speed, logged on and did a couple of hours work sat in my stinking cycling clothes. Sweet. Might nip out for a road ride tonight to make sure the Lemond is running nicely.
