Ride Entry – 27th January 2009

Distance: 18 miles
Fixed up the Lemond front shifter by spraying a ton of WD40 up it. Reset the cable and went out for a ride. Just a quick blast really to see if it was working. It was although it rubs slightly on big and second which is a pity because that’s my flat gear. Need to sort that before my hopefully big ride on Thursday. I am so ready for a massive leg flimsying ride, proper century plus business. Anyway, set off, rode fast, it started raining, hard, which was good because I’d forgotten my water bottle. Mind you, sticking my tongue out didn’t really catch enough. Glasses were coated in water so I couldn’t see on the back lanes. Throat was so dry I could have kept I dunno, something very dry in it. Glad to get home really. Hope the weather is better on Thursday.

was as dry as a gin an tonic?
although i’m guessing that could have gone down quite nicely at the time?
