Not a good idea and I know the doctors say it just makes it worse and it's not real sleep but I needed to do something to give me a break. The world was looking extremely freaky and I was snapping at the wife for no reason at all (which is normally her trick). Felt a bit better this morning but still fairly weird. We'll see what happens tonight. uhuh, and then I got to 11 last night and still couldn;t sleep. desperate times call for desperate measures so I drank myself to sleep. There's plenty of shorter alternatives mind, you can take the TPT to Great Sankey, then take the sankey valley trail to Newton Le Willows and then pick up any number of bridleways through wigan to Haigh Hall and onto Adlington. I extended my commute home yesterday - TPT to Lymm, road to Leigh then canal to home. Pretty good as the temp dropped quickly and froze most of the mud. If I'm feeling crazy one day then I might extend it further by taking the TPT to Southport and then road back to mine but that sounds slightly crazy for a commute :) Sounds like a pretty decent ride!
