You actual ride your bike (all year round in all weathers) which is something that a lot of people on STW like talking about but have very little real life experience of. It also explains why you destroy things so quickly. 

Apparently Suunto now do a watch (the X10) with GPS built-in that creates GPX files that you can download straight into google, mapmyride, etc. One of my staff has just come back from doing field research in Ethiopia and said that it is a very reliable bit of kit.

If this latest Garmin fucks up ask for a refund and buy something else.
