Ride ENtry – 25th July 2010
by admin on Jul.25, 2010, under Uncategorized
Bike: Roadlite
Distance: 66 miles
I’m starting to doubt biketoaster’s reliability. I need to check this one on memorymap or something. I climbed like, forever on this ride, I was always going up or down and I was out for four hours so to say I only did 66 miles and 1046m of climbing is not right at all. Plus I was going lightning quickly. No no no no no, that’s not right.
It was a fecking ace ride though, really enjoyed it. Went over to Ramsbottom, then over the tops to Blackburn, Preston, Bamber Bridge, White Coppice, Anglezark, Rivington, home. Bit windy at times but for once I got regular times when it was behind me. I will be doing it again with some fine tuning.

When you get to the roundabout at Higher Walton, instead of going right, carry on up through Hoghton and turn right onto Gregson Lane, it’s a killer climb (500foot?)that keeps on giving, then right when it meets Sandy lane and onto the A6 from there.
