Ride Entry – 22nd August 2010

Bike: Roadlite
Distance: 66 miles
Exactly the same ride I did last month. Over to Ramsbottom, up over the tops to Blackburn, back via Preston, Bamber Bridge, Anglezarke, home.
It’s a good ride and this one felt a lot easier than last time, rain threatened a couple of times but nothing worth getting my coat on for.
Hopefully I can coax my son out for a couple of days touring tomorrow and Tuesday. My wife is looking after her neice’s spawn of satan kids for the next couple of days so I’m buggered if I’m hanging around to watch the mayhem. These children could best be described as ‘feral’ and despite being only 2 years old (I think), have already displayed alarming theft and vandalism skills. We saw the lad prize open a locked cupboard at his own home with a screwdriver that he no doubt keeps down his nappy for such events and it was like watching a master burglar at work.

YOu flew past my house this morning as I was getting my bike out to head to work. By the time I realised who it was you were miles away!

Yep, sounds like it was me then.
I like going that way so I can drag my way along that long slog up to the top of Bradshaw road.
